‘Water Haven’ 1994 Mick Sivewright 34’ cruiser stern narrowboat – lying Barbridge
‘Water Haven’ is a 34’ all steel cruiser stern narrowboat built by Mick Sivewright in 1994. Propulsion is provided by a 19hp 3 cylinder Beta Marine BD722 with Hurth gearbox.
This boat is of a traditional layout, at the stern being a fixed double berth with plenty of storage space underneath as well as overhead cupboards at the head and foot of the bed. Moving forward takes you to an off-corridor bathroom with a good sized shower, hand basin, storage cupboard and shelves and Porta Potti toilet. Next is a U shape galley, again offering an impressive amount of storage space for a boat this size. The galley also features a high level gas oven and grill, 12v fridge, 4 burner gas hob and stainless sink/drainer. At the front of the cabin is the saloon with free standing sofa, built in corner cabinet with stereo and 2 large floor to ceiling cupboards. This then leads to a small well deck area.
Heating and hot water are provided by an Eberspacher Diesel system with three radiators through the boat. The vessel also comes with front and rear covers and a BSC to August 2025. ‘Water Haven’ is a neat and homely feeling boat and at 34’ is ideal for stress free cruising, yet the fixed double berth makes for comfortable extended cruising. A survey from 2020 is available to view.
