‘Watergate 2’ – 32’ – 1983 Highbridge Crusader – 6 berth – Barbridge
‘Watergate 2’ is a good example of the popular Highbridge Crusader 32, narrowboat style cruiser of GRP construction. Propulsion is provided by a Honda 20hp petrol outboard motor. Internally she benefits from the original Highbridge fitout which includes up to 6 berths and a large 55 gallon water tank. Water is heated via a Paloma while heating for the boat is by a Propex blown air gas system.
She has a large cruiser stern for sociable cruising which is sheltered by a collapsible hard top. At the aft of the cabin are 2 fixed berths which extend under the cockpit to maximise the use of space. Forward of this is the separate toilet compartment which includes a Porta Potti cassette toilet and shower. On the opposite side are some large storage cupboards/wardrobes. Moving forward, to the port side of the vessel is a comfortable dinette which converts to a double berth while to starboard is the galley area with ample storage space, stainless sink/drainer, gas oven, hob & grill and a good amount of worktop space. At the front of the cabin are 2 fixed bench seats which can also be used as 2 individual berths or converted into a double. This then leads to a small well deck area at the bow.
‘Watergate 2’ has a recent BSC and is moored at our Barbridge site, please call 07710 631683 for more information or to arrange a viewing.
