'Drifter' 1980 24’ Norman Cruiser - lying Barbridge
Drifter is a 24’ GRP cruiser built in 1980 by Norman and powered by a 4 year old Beta 20hp inboard diesel engine with Volvo Penta Saildrive. Typical of cruisers like this there is a large rear deck for sociable cruising. This area is covered with a canopy that was fitted new in 2019. Entering the vessel, there is a small W.C compartment to port with porta potti and extractor fan. To starboard is a worktop space and storage cupboard.
Forward of the WC is a 4 seater dinette which converts to a double berth. Under the seating is plenty of storage space as well as a calorifier for hot water fed from the engine. Under here is also a blown air heating system that provides warmth using heat from the engine. To starboard is the galley area with storage cupboards, gas grill, 2 burner hob, sink and 12V cool box/fridge.
To the bow is the standard ‘V’ shape seating which converts to a double berth and offers storage under the seats and shelving to the sides. Drifter was re-wired in 2018, has a BSC to December 2023, has 2 new domestic batteries and comes with 2 gas bottles and a variety of cruising equipment.
