'Arctic Fox' – 40’ Cruiser Stern – 1986

'Arctic Fox' is a 40’ all steel cruiser stern narrowboat built in 1986/7 by CT & P Fox, a renowned builder of their time and this can be seen in the quality of steelwork and fitout material which includes a lot of chunky solid mahogany.  Propulsion is provided by a BMC 1.5 Diesel engine with PRM gearbox.
On entering the vessel from the stern, the saloon is the first room, this features a solid fuel stove, cupboard and shelf storage, freestanding custom made mahogany table and ‘L’ shaped seating which converts to a double berth.
A generously sized galley is next and offers plenty of worktop and storage space from custom made mahogany cupboard to both port and starboard.  A stainless steel sink/drainer, fridge and 4 burner gas hob are fitted with room available if an oven/grill was required.
This leads on to a walkthrough bathroom with shower cubicle to port and toilet/handbasin to starboard.  Two doors to the toilet compartment open to close off the corridor and create a full width bathroom.
The forward cabin includes 2 fixed single berths / settee’s.  The can be bridged to create a double berth.  Two foldaway canvas pipe cots can be fitted over each fixed berth offering 4 berths in the front cabin alone.
This room then leads out onto the self draining front deck with fixed seating.
Externally the vessel was professionally re-painted and blacked in late 2018.

'Arctic Fox' is moored at our Barbridge site, please call for further details.
